I Just Really Like It: Volume 3
Including a room freshener, cream bronzer, super-soft sweatpants, and more.
An extremely random list featuring extremely great things. Now, onto it:
Mrs. Meyer's Room Freshener
I have multiple bottles of this room freshener around—in the living room, bathrooms, my office (which is also the ‘gym’). What’s special about it? Instead of a pushdown sprayer, it has a trigger you pull with your fingers that produces a light, even, and nicely fragrant mist. I particularly love the peony scent.
Youth to The People Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Mask
Because of my sensitive skin, my dermatologist told me to avoid anything with fragrance, but I can’t give up this Dream Mask. I’ve used it weekly for years (about twice a week, when I’m not using tretinoin, as retinoids and vitamin C shouldn’t be applied at the same time). After using the mask, my skin feels and looks hydrated, brighter, and soothed. And while it is a bit expensive ($50 for a 2 oz. jar), this stuff lasts for a very long time and you only need a small amount (I use about a teaspoon or less) for each application.
Tower 28 Beauty Bronzino Illuminating Cream Bronzer
Tower 28 Beauty is one of my favorite makeup brands (it’s designed for people with sensitive skin!), so I wasn’t surprised when this cream bronzer became an immediate go-to. It’s incredibly easy to apply (super blendable) and gives you that effortless, glow-from-within, kissed-by-the-sun look. I use the shade Gold Coast, which is medium neutral.
SORVINO Aviator Sunglasses
If you’re a fan of aviator sunglasses, give these a shot. They’re inexpensive, flattering, and available in a range of color ways and come with a case. I find they stay on my face as well as my Ray-Ban aviators (the fit still isn’t perfect, but, hey, the SORVINO ones are a heck of a lot cheaper).
Vuori Performance Jogger Pants
Sigh, I debated for a while (months) about investing in a $84 pair of sweatpants. But these pants are, in short, a bit life-changing. They’re incredibly soft, flattering (I think!), lightweight, stretchy, durable, and pretty much every other positive, sweatpant-related attribute you could think of. I love their double pockets, adjustable waist, and tapered legs. Plus, Vuori has a focus on sustainability and ethical manufacturing. I think these pants fit TTS.
EZ-DUZ-IT Deluxe Can Opener
I had my KitchenAid can opener for about 6 years and while it was fine, it was never great, you know? Recently, it was noticeably duller—making opening a can of chickpeas a somewhat difficult, nearly dangerous task (the more force you apply, the greater chance of your hand slipping). So, I bought this can opener (based on the Serious Eats review, of course) and, man, is it incredible. It lithely opens cans. And while a can opener seems like an odd thing to truly love, here we are.
