Heilala Everyday Vanilla
I bought a giant bottle of this vanilla extract and a jar of vanilla bean paste based of off a Serious Eats recommendation and couldn’t be happier with both of them. The paste has a terrific amount of vanilla seeds, while the bottle is 16.9 fluid ounces—add a tablespoon here, there, and it never seems to deplete.
OXO Good Grips Mini Angled Measuring Cup
This tiny measuring cup gets more use in my kitchen than full-sized ones. It’s ideal for measuring up to four tablespoons of liquid (oil, maple syrup, etc) and a fantastic jigger. I even brew shots of espresso directly into it. And while OXO makes a stainless steel version, its etchings actually fade quicker than the plastic model.
Bissell Little Green Portable Carpet and Upholstry Cleaner
This compact carpet cleaner has saved my carpets, couches, and chairs from dog accidents and accidental spills. It has a fairly long power cord and is easy to tote around, too. The cleaning solution tank is a little hard to fill (it doesn’t have a flat side to hold it upright, so you have to do that manually), but it’s still well worth it.
Hourglass Phantom Volumizinng Glossy Balm
This glossy, lip tint-esque balm looks beautiful and provides a more natural-looking pop of color. I like the tube’s smaller applicator and twisting bit at the base that pushes the balm upwards. I have a couple of shades, but my favorite’s Thrill (a red).
